Vice-Rector of the University of Gdańsk.

.Polish universities have high scientific capital and, as all the data show, are very popular with both international students and researchers. They come from all over the world, attracted by the relatively low cost of studying and living in our country.

Polish universities are making a dynamic entry into the European academic world and developing innovative curricula, especially in English, to meet present-day challenges. We are particularly strong in sustainability and social issues, as evidenced by the latest international university rankings, which look less at the number of foreign students and researchers and more at a university’s approach to social issues. This is confirmed by the students, who now expect higher education to go beyond providing traditional professions and instead focus on equipping them with soft skills that will enable them to secure interesting jobs and pursue their passions in the future. The English-language Tourism and Hospitality course was the hit of the last recruitment drive at our university. Operating within the Faculty of Social Sciences, this course excels in its interdisciplinary approach and responsiveness to contemporary educational needs.

.The advantages of studying in Gdańsk are hard to ignore – this city of freedom, solidarity and diversity provides ideal conditions for studying, networking with the international scientific community and connecting with potential future employers. This is another reason why the University of Gdańsk is gaining popularity among students and researchers worldwide.
