Who will take over the votes of the remaining candidates?

.The results of the first round of presidential elections in Poland show growing public support for the radical right candidates, whose programs include limiting support for Ukraine and radically tightening abortion law in Poland. Representing them, Sławomir Mentzen (14.8) and Grzegorz Braun (6.34) received a total of 21.14 percent of votes. Now, both candidates taking part in the second round will try to take over their support, although Karol Nawrocki has a better chance of doing so.

Rafał Trzaskowski’s voters should be joined by those who supported the center and left-
wing candidates – a total of 15.17 percent of all votes.

The second round of the presidential elections in Poland will take place 1st of June. The current president Andrzej Duda will remain in office until 6 August 2025.

‘When I win the presidential election, I will do everything to make Poland a leader in building relations between the European Union and the United States’ – said Karol Nawrocki on 3 April 2025, during a meeting with the representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce. Karol Nawrocki believes that a strong alliance with the United States and the European Union are not mutually exclusive.

As President of Poland, I will strive to negotiate customs issues directly with the United States as part of our bilateral relations. Such an approach benefits Poland, improves Poles’ quality of life and strengthens Polish-American ties . Of course, I will do all this bearing in mind that we’re part of the EU. I have a duty to serve the Polish state and Polish citizens – that’s why I’m ready to build strong bilateral relations with the United States while respecting the European Union. At the same time, Poland needs to wake up the EU, which is currently in deep chaos,’ said Karol NAWROCKI.
